Using a simple block template I came up with and a few embellishments from Pxl Cafe's "So Grateful" kit, I completed this page in record time. It's simple with clean lines and lets the picture be the star.  Try it and you'll see how easy it is.......

Free Quick and Simple Template

Hello friends.  It has been a loooong week and it is only Thursday!  Unfortunately, that means I haven't had much time to design this week.  When I find I'm crunched for time or I need a little inspiration, I reach for a template.  They are so easy to use, and you can tweek them how ever you like.  I know some of you think this is cheating, but I don't think so!  So on that note, here is a link to a super simple and quick template offered by No Reimer Reason.  If you are a paper scrapper, you could easily use this template as well.   If you try this sketch or have any other favorite quick and simple layout you've created, post it in a comment.  I'd love to see your masterpieces.

Doodle Dabblings

Good Morning scrappers! The sun is shining, the birds are singing, and my mouse is "click click clicking" away creating new layouts.


The subject of the day: Doodles. 
Swirls, hearts, smiley faces, you name it there is a doodle for it.  I will admit I am quickly becoming a doodle junkie.  I think they add a simple and cartoon-ish addition to layouts, but they don't always flow with the traditional layout elements. So I end up with lots of downloads getting dusty in my hard drive. So begins my quest to incorporate these little darlings into new layouts.  I'll show you mine if you show me yours....
